Germany - Federal Ministry of Education and Research - New technologies - The Nano Effect / Action Plan Nanotechnology 2015: Nanotechnology has the potential to make significant technological contributions to solving the great societal challenges like securing our energy supply. With the use of nanostructured materials, we will see clear progress in modern construction technology or in respect to energy saving lighting technology. These materials will be able to offer possibilities for improved recycling or even new alternatives. Nanomaterials will also be crucial in medical care for our aging society. The Federal Government's Action Plan Nanotechnology 2015 now provides an integrated concept for using nanotechnology without endangering people or the environment.
