Background:

The on line BPD (Biocidal Products Directive) Information System provides you with:

a list of active substances which are listed onto Annex I or IA of Directive 98/8/EC concerning the placing of biocidal products on the EU market (Biocidal Products Directive) called "list of Annex I / IA inclusions" and;
a list called the "list of non-inclusions".

The "list of Annex I / IA inclusions" contains information: general substance information, the Product Type, the Inclusion Directive, the Assessment Report and the Rapporteur Member State. Please note that no distinction is made between Annex I and IA.

The list can be presented based on EC number, CAS number and substance name.

The "list of non-inclusions" contains a consolidated list of existing active substances for which a decision of non-inclusion onto Annex I or IA of Directive 98/8/EC has been adopted. This list also contains the dates by which products containing these active substances shall no longer be placed on the market for the relevant product-types.
