Indoor air quality's effects on health - Report now available: outcome of workshop "Guidelines for Health-Based Ventilation in Europe"

A Report is now available (downloadable below), summarising the outcome of a workshop focused on the presentation of health-based ventilation guidelines in Europe and their impact on ambient/indoor air quality policies and energy policies.
The workshop was hosted by the European Parliament on 20.02.2013; the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC), together with WHO and HEAL (Health and Environment Alliance), contributed to the panel which discussed the impact of health-based ventilation guidelines on policies related to clean air. The event, based on the outcome of the HealthVent project, was organised by EFA (the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patient's Associations) in the framework of the EU Year of Air 2013; it was attended by 60 policy makers and other stakeholders (European Commission services, WHO, European Ventilation Industry Association, EU construction product manufacturers' association, representatives of patients’ organisations, research institutions and NGOs.
