Being aware of the fact that alternatives to animal testing can only turn into a real success if implemented globally, it has been decided that the lead theme of the 2012 EPAA activities – and, consequently, also the focus of the 2012 Annual Conference – would be the "Development and Implementation of 3R methodologies through International Cooperation".
IHCP/ECVAM have been actively involved in the work of the EPAA since the start in 2005 and continues to support EPAA collaborations between industry and the European Commission for promoting alternatives to animal testing.
Regulators, high-level industry and Commission representatives will debate the latest opportunities and perspectives on cooperation on 3Rs at a global scale.
