The trainee will assist the directorate's office of the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection of the Joint Research Centre in disseminating scientific information via the Institute’s web site and a variety of media outlets targeted to non-specialists and the general public. Special importance is given to visual elements of these information products, including web graphic design.
The applicant will be asked to collect/create information materials, photos, graphics & infographics, and collaborate to web multimedia production (e.g. video clips).
Projects might include creation and update of new web sections; production of posters, fact sheets and brochures; video scripts and storyboards.
We're looking for applicants with a formal training in communication and visual design and a strong interest in science communication.
Experience in communication campaigns in the science domain and relevant examples of work done in this field will be an asset.
